Tips on How to Maintain Your Paint Job After Auto Paint Services

  • Avoid washing it for some time: Auto paint can take some time to fully dry and cure properly. To allow it enough time to fully set and dry, we recommend that you wait at least two weeks before washing your car.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals: Though you can wash your car after two weeks, the auto paint job will still need a total of 30-60 days to fully cure. During this time, you will want to avoid any harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or waxing for your car. You should only use gentle soap and water to wash your car during that 60-day period.
  • Enjoy your car: Once your auto paint is completely cured, you can drive it, wash it, wax it, and whatever else you may wish to do with your car as usual – just make sure you’re following the manufacturer’s recommendations for vehicle care.
